Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American and Canadian artist and singer. Over 20 albums were released by her. DiFranco describes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative, but it also contains influences such as punk, hip-hop and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement and is among the first artists to create her own label the year 1990. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal as is her father, who is Italian origins. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. The song is from her 1995 album Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio album. The track was included in the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999.
