At 19 years old, she released Here, her first single. It was an instant hit that both critics and the fans were awed by it. It reached the top spot at 19th at both Canadian Hot 100 as well as Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the track one of the top Songs of 2015. The same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third song Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. The track is special due to her interview with Rap-Up that she did with her listeners were able to connect to her experiences of discovering their own love as well as doubting herself. Cara includes messages of love and kindness throughout her songs. All of it is a result of her personal journey as she has been battling mental health issues and insomnia. According to a Reuters Interview, her album was described as semi-tumultuous and half-perfected. Therapy helped her grow and encourages other people to seek help if necessary. Alessia Cara is a Canadian performer who was born on the 11th of July, 1996 to parents who are of Italian descent. Her parents gifted her with an instrument when she was 10 and this led to her passion for music. Three years later at 13 she started covering her most loved songs on YouTube one of the biggest media platforms to prove to the world she possessed the talent skills and determination to develop into a professional singer. In fact, one of the covers Sweater Weather got noticed by a record label called EP Entertainment which allowed her to create and write tracks.
