When she was 19, she released Here, her first single. It was an instant hit, and both critics and admirers praised the song. It reached 19th place on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone listed the song as one of the Top Songs of 2015. Her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was the first of five tracks that made it to the top charts on Billboard which included Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. In her Rap-Up Interview, many listeners spoke about Cara's struggle to find self-love as well as her doubts. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate songs about mental health, kindness and self-love into her music. The inspiration for her music is drawn from her own personal journey as she has suffered from mental health problems and insomnia. Interview with Reuters the singer said that her album was "half turbulent" as well as "half flawless". The singer says that she discovered her development in therapy. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born on July 11th, 1996 to parents with Italian heritage. She was given a guitar by her parents when she was 10, which ignited the passion for music. At the age of 13 she began covering her favorite songs via YouTube one of the biggest media platforms to prove to the world she had the talents and the determination to be a professional singer. Sweater Weather is among these covers which led to her being discovered at the time by EP Entertainment. This record label allowed her create her own songs.
