Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author as well as a model and actress. She has been acclaimed for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Growing up in an artistic family in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. When she was a photographer's assistant, she turned her attention towards modeling and acting. She won an award called the Golden Globe Award in 1990 as an aspiring young actor. MacGraw became a global superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three films she was deemed one of the most successful women in box office history. In 1972, her foot-prints and autograph were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
